Dinner
A short menu that follows the boats and the farms: local fish, shellfish, vegetables from inland Maine and bread baked each afternoon.

Dinner at Tidewick is a short menu, written each week around what comes in: fish landed at the Portland Fish Exchange, shellfish from Casco Bay and the Damariscotta River, and vegetables, grains and dairy from farms a couple of hours inland. Short means everything on it is cooked from scratch that day.
The sample menu
- Small plates: warm bread with cultured butter, crispy Brussels sprouts with cider glaze, steamed mussels with white wine and herbs, a chowder of hake and potato.
- Mains: pan-roasted haddock with brown butter, seared scallops with squash, a half lobster with corn and potatoes in season, roasted mushrooms with farro.
- Desserts: blueberry crisp, a buttermilk panna cotta and a cheese from a Maine creamery.
Drinks
A short list of wines chosen to go with seafood, beer from Portland's breweries, Maine cider and a few cocktails. Non-alcoholic drinks are made with the same care: shrubs, house sodas and good tea.
